Rediscover Denver at a better price
Colorado Governor Bill Ritter announced May would be "Rediscover Colorado" month as a way to encourage people to spend more money on going out and jump starting the economy. The incentive is BARGAINS. The Brown Palace, which was included on page 13 and page 149 of my Moon Denver guidebook is now offering room rates as low as $117 a night. Check their site, www.brownpalace.com, to find out about other deals at the hotel this spring and summer.

Enjoy discovering the history of two of Denver’s most historic districts in the cool and comfortable early hours of the weekend. Each tour is two hours long, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., and will highlight the fascinating history of that district. No reservations are necessary.
Meet at:
LoDo Tour meets in front of Union Station.
Civic Center Tour meets at Panera Bread, 13th and Grant.
When:
LoDo tours are offered the first and third Saturdays of the month.
Civic Center tours are offered the second and fourth Saturdays of the month.
Discover Denver Early Morning Walking Tours are offered from June 6 through September 26, 2009, at 9:00 a.m.
*There will be no tour on Saturday, July 4
