Denver's stock show

Today is the last day of Denver's annual National Western Stock Show and Rodeo! In Denver this means an official end to the holiday season when the public holiday lights displays come down and Santa is put away. I just love seeing friends post photos of their little ones dressed up as mini cowgirls and cowboys to go check out the Stock Show, or hearing about their "mutton bustin'" days. We enjoyed the parade up 17th St. this year and we had a bit of excitement when one of the longhorn steers tried to walk backwards as they turned from Wynkoop Street up 17th, but the cowboys did their job and kept it all going smoothly.
